Ef: A Tale of Memories is one of the most emotionally and psychologically heavy shows out there, and their use of the vocals of talented J-pop female vocalist Elisa gave the show the blend of solemn and yet uplifting energy it relies on to deliver its analysis on love and human nature. Elisa performs a great English-language vocal, and although some the grammar and sentences are fragmented, the lyrical choppiness of the song actually benefits its atmosphere and draws to mind the scattered identities of the characters as they seek the answers to who they are and what they want.
