The eternally young Suga Shikao is responsible for several of the excellent themes to CLAMP's xxxHolic, but my personal favorite is the entrance to the second season, 'Nobody Knows'. One of the things I love so much about his voice is how understated it is. He keeps things simple and smooth, but his every word grabs you, even though he rarely belts things out or uses complex vocal tricks to showboat or stray from the basic melody. Paired with the exquisite art used in the xxxHolic credits, it's a perfect fit: the song isn't distracting enough to detract from the visuals, but it provides an almost seductive backdrop for characters such as the notoriously sexy Yuuko to shine. And how on earth does he keep looking so young? Nobody knows the answer...
