After talking about FAKE, now I want to get 'FOR REAL'! This track by Hidenori Tokuyama from the first season of Saiyuki is hard driving and energetic, much like the four main men of the show's Sanzo Team. Goku, Sanzo, Gojyo, and Hakkai are far from tame and dainty, so this song matches their tough and relentless quest to the West through demons, figures from their past, and even the occasional case of in-fighting. Usually after a handful of episodes, I feel okay skipping the theme song every once in awhile, but this song is one I was happy to listen to over and over again. Fo real.
