Just like the French novel inspired Gankutsuou, Le Chevalier D'Eon opts not to go with French or Japanese for the closing track, but chooses a song sung in English so beautifully that this viewer didn't mind at all that they passed up the chance to embrace the series' French roots. 'OVER NIGHT,' performed by Aya, is atmospheric gold, breathtaking and even somewhat unsettling, and compliments the supernatural elements of D'Eon's world to a tee.
